The best portable eBook readers 2010

'm Very demanding when it comes to choosing the right portable eBook reader. While I love the idea of mobile categorized literary compendium, it must meet several benchmarks to feel as natural and as smooth as a traditional paper return.

If you're anything like me, then you will find that 90% of all eBook products are poorly suited to your needs or you've never even considered as a start. Without the fortuitous arrival of a gift, I would probably never have begun to use them in the first place. Now, however, there is no going back.

I have written this article in an attempt to surfers with a list of e-book readers, which I find today's best deals in terms of price, aesthetics and functionalities. As always, my articles are irretrievably subjective, so if my suggestions do not fit the bill, I wish you well with your research!

In short - What attributes am I looking for?
First, the reader must be highly portable, and by this I mean you can comfortably read on a train have relatively tight. Everywhere you a traditional paper-back reading you should be able to do the same with your eBook.

Secondly, with regard to aesthetics, I'm a big fan of minimalism. I do not want the brand's logo throughout the design. I want a functional, elegant design that does not distract from the text. My desire for elegance and ease of use should reflect not only hardware but also software. There is nothing worse than flashy scripts and volatile multi-colored menus in my book. Speed and taste - taste and speed!

And last but not least, we come to price. While I understand that there is finally an eBook, I can reduce costs and finding a certain amount of karma to save paper, it is important to remember that I will not buy a gaming laptop. I understand that many people would like their readers to serve as MP3 players and what have you, but I am in the literature. Typically male, my ability to multi-task is not as great as it could be.

Amazon Kindle Review DX
Quality and flexibility are the name of the game here. On the heels of the slightly disappointing Kindle 2, Kindle DX is a triumph of simplicity and rich in features, just the way I like it.

So what is different than the original Kindle? Well, to start with the size of the screen is enlarged, a 6 "diagonal on a 9.7" diagonal. The photo on the right should give you an idea of how big it is. Despite its size, it's pretty light, clocking in at 18.9 grams (0.5 pounds), making it perfectly portable, despite the size of the screen.

The DX-hosts a veritable horde of cool features, like automatic rollover. If you sideways tilt of the Kindle, the text re-level alignment, which is suitable for certain text and graphics data (if your intention by using mainly for work). Other useful features include:

The DX is completely wireless and not necessarily a computer
A single battery can last for one week with wireless on (double that number if you disable the wireless connection)
Built-in speakers
4GB storage (3500 books - more than double the old version)
Native ability to read PDF files (note:.! Microsoft Proprietary extensions can not be read as docx)
For me, the Kindle is something of a dream machine that I would buy if I could afford. It makes the transition between paper and electronic paper more than just pain, it makes it noticeable advantage. The only con I can think of is the fact that the price may be a bit steep for those with a limited budget. But if you can afford it, it is worth the investment.

Sony Reader Digital Touch Edition
Sony have become a familiar and trusted brand when it comes to portable eBook readers. While generally I prefer the Kindle as a stand-alone product, the Sony Digital Touch, half the price, a better return on investment for many. And hey, maybe you'll even prefer - you certainly reasons.

Let's start with the fact that this model is less than half the price cost. All the essential ingredients pass the test with flying colors. Sony's last. PDF files smoothly and crisply, the design is simple, elegant and bright. Interact is now easier with the ability to page to change with the flick of a finger.

The display size is the same as the old Kindle, a respectable and engaging 6 "frame touchscreen navigation possible. For commuters used for animal esque subway ride into the wee hours of the day, this model may be more manageable than the Kindle (and at 9 grams, it weighs less than half!).

While the Kindle is a superior machine in terms of performance and flexibility, you should ask yourself if you can do it without the Kindle features. Sony's Reader, could house about 350 books on the Kindle 3500. But how many books do you need stored at a time. If you have an eBook reader as a portable reference, might invest in the Kindle is a better idea. If you need a go-between, or if you just want to read than Sony's alternative would prove a better investment overall.

Aluratek LIBRE eBook Reader Pro
I'll start by saying that I am not a fan of this design, but I added it because it is relatively popular and it is 80's retro look (same attraction I think many felt toward those early 90's Casio watches) can appeal to many.

Apart from the unique aesthetics, the Aluratek LIBRE is cheap and offers solid features (summarized by Amazon).

Supports PDF, TXT, FB2, EPUB, MOBI (non-DRM only), China (non-DRM only) and RTF format eBook
Supports BMP, JPG, POISON, POISON animated image format
Includes 2 GB SD card and 100 free eBooks (better than the Sony!)
Content to look for easy navigation between the books and pages
Bookmark and auto page turn function
The real benefit could come from a different angle. For users who are tired of "rights" war, or juggle contracts and software knows that the Aluratek offers relief. The overarching promise is a cheap, functional (very stylized) product that delivers exactly what it sets out to achieve without the pomp and circumstance.
